Top 5 features of Android N

To all the Android lovers out there, the giant in the mobile software industry Google is now up with the latest version of Android, Android N. Although the developer preview of Android is out now Google hasn't officially released the consumer version of the software. Welcome to MoreTop5 and today we are gonna count down the top features of Android N.



5. Keyboard


This might be silly for some people and for some this might be the game changer. With the new version of android Google announces a ton of themes in the stock Google keyboard itself with a lot of colours to choose from. This will be a welcome addition to the people who doesn't want to leave the comfort of the stock Google keyboard and want keyboard customization.

4. Settings


In the newest version of Android, we have a revamped settings menu which can be taken as welcome addition. In the newly designed settings menu user can have a peek of the content inside the settings without even having the pain to open the settings menu for eg., storage menu now actually shows the total space used and total space left in the settings view itself and battery menu now shows the amount of juice left etc. which is quite wonderful and handy for the android users.

3. Notifications


Notifications on Android N now gets a redesigned look, in the newest version the notifications view is now tight which gives the users maximum info the notification dropdown itself. Notification menu now takes up the full width of the screen and also added the inline reply in the notification dropdown itself which allows the users to reply without leaving the comfort of their home screen, now some stock apps support inline reply such has hangouts messaging etc., we hope the third party software will leverage this power to deliver a seamless experience for the android lovers.

2. Multitasking


Android N now officially supports split screen multitasking. On the previous version of Android we have see this feature brought in by phone manufacturers like Samsung and now Android supports this feature out the box, the good news is for the nexus lovers who were missing this feature on their stock Android experience. Task switching now has a welcome addition that is by double tapping the task switching button the user is presented with the most recently used application. Goods news to the third party app providers is that they don't need to update their app to support split screen support. Now there is also a clear all button in the Android multitasking menu.


1. Performance


Now all Android versions success come down to this particular word 'Performance'. Google now claims to have an improved performance on their newest version as expected, in the newest version Android N is now adopting a new graphics API called Vulkan which should help deliver more efficient visual performance on phones and tablets.

Android N also has a JIT compiler which will gradually reduce battery consumption thereby assuring a better battery life and it will also results the apps to be about 50% smaller and makes them 75% faster.
